What we know, what we don’t
Better to say it right away.
Human Design mixes astrology and the I Ching to describe the way you operate. We treat it as a tool for reflection, with no scientific claims. But if you are going to do it, you might as well do it properly: an accurate calculation and texts you understand on the first read.
What we know

- The numbers are measured.The percentages on this page come from our 20,000 charts, not from a book.
What we don’t know
- Whether it is proven.It is not: no scientific study has validated it. Details here.

- Your future.We predict nothing. And we replace no doctor, therapist or advisor.

What are the 4 types of Human Design?
You will often hear "4 types", but most calculators today list 5: Generator, Manifesting Generator, Manifestor, Projector and Reflector. Manifesting Generators used to be filed under Generators, which is where the number 4 comes from.
How do I find out my Human Design type?
Your type comes from your birth date, time and place, so no quiz can guess it. The quickest way is to calculate your chart. Then read the page for your type and keep whatever rings true.
Is Human Design real?
There is no scientific evidence that it works. No published study shows that a Human Design chart describes a person better than chance, and its references to physics have never been tested. Many people still use it as a prompt for thinking about how they decide and how they pace themselves. We go through the details on our honest page about it.
